Spring steel boning is nylon-coated steel that is white in color and comes in different widths, thickness and length. When you are looking to select steel boning for your favorite corset style the thickness is of primary importance. When the proper thickness of steel boning is selected it is quite flexible and it is extremely hard to bend.

You can construct a corset with busks that open and are usually located on the front of corsets to enable you to put on your corset without assistance. The earliest busks were invented around 1860 and launched with simple busks, today's spoon busk was created more than a decade later.
